Lenticular Postcards

Image concept & creation

Lenticular is a specialized printing process in which lenticular lenses give printed images the illusion of depth, or the ability to change or move as the image is viewed from different angles.

Most of the lenticular postcards I created were image switches. Gifs were usually used for presentation. If image requred type motion or depth effect, the project was brought into Adobe After Effects.

There are other techniques that I have used to create depth or movement such as displacement maps, liquify and a combination of techniques. I’ve also used several After Effects plug-in aids such as PhotomotionX and VoluMax.
